Myeong Soo Lee is currently a principal researcher of the Korea Institute of Oriental Medicine (KIOM), Daejeon, South Korea. I studied at the Department of Microbiology and Imnunology, School of Medicine, Wonkwang University, Korea as a Researcher for 10 years and evidencebased medicine for complementary medicine at Complementary Medicine, Peninsula Medical School for 3 years as visiting researcher. He is also adjunct professors of London South Bank University, UK and Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
He is a founding member of International Society of Complementary Medicine Research and a board member from 2011 to 2016. He is also advisory board of Cochrane Collaboration Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM) Field, University of Maryland. He is working as a member of RIGHT group (http://www.right-statement.org/home/member) and a member of steering committee of Guideline International Network (G-I-N) Asia. He is also a member of Executive team of Health Technology Assessment International (HTAi) Early Career Network (ECN) Interest Group. He is co-chair of Clinical Studies interest groups in Good Practice in Traditional Chinese Medicine (GP-TCM) Research Association.
He is Associate Editor of European Journal of Integrative Medicine and Journal of Alternative and Complementary Medicine, and Section Editor of CAM in Medicine (LWW).I am also working as editorial board member in Complementary Therapies in Medicine, Complementary Therapies in Clinical Practice, Maturitas, Chinese Medical Journal, Journal of Ginseng Research, Chinese Journal of Integrative Medicine, American Journal of Chinese Medicine, Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Journal of Evidence Based Medicine and several other professional journals. He was an International Board of BMJ Fellows in 2013. He has been published over 450 articles including original papers, reviews and book chapters related with CAM, integrative medicine and mind-body medicine fields as leading or co-authors.
He leaded the project of development of Evidence Based Clinical Practice Guideline in Korean Medicine from 2012 to 2015 and published 7 CPGs for frequent diseases in Korean Medicine in Elsevier Korea. He also held International Symposium of Evidence Based Clinical Practice Guideline in Traditional Medicine since 2011 for 4 years and has been involved in International Pattern Identification Network Group for research of Traditional Medicine from 2013 until now. He had a role of Research Committee of ICCMR 2015 in Jeju, Korea and secretary of ISCMR Asian Chapter.
His team in KIOM has focused on three research projects including the developing evidence map and reporting guidelines in Traditional Medicine, developing clinical practice guideline in Korean Medicine, and investigating clinical efficacy of Korean Medicine for IVF.
